Which baby wipes do you use? Huggies pure have appalling perforations and I declare them too wasteful and expensive to use!!!

I like the actual wipes as they're not full of lotion but you can't take out less than 3 or 4 at a time and the perforations are shocking.

Can anyone recommend a new brand - preferably without baby lotion in :)

Thanks

sainsburys and waitrose own I like

saltyseadog · 26/10/2010 23:11

Pampers Sensitive or Lidl or Tesco own brand.

Icoulddoitbetter · 26/10/2010 23:13

childrenofthe are you Yoda?!

So it's not just me who has trouble getting just one Huggies out at a time? I do like the Huggies Pure though. I started with Pampers Sensitive and thought they smelt horrid.

My local Wilkinsons sold off it's stock of CLearly Herbal wipes for 2p a pack. I bought the lot and was very sad when they ran out as they were lovely and are really expensive in Toys R Us.

TheAntiChristi · 26/10/2010 23:20

Hmmmmmmmmmm.... My DH texted me today becaue he 'couldn't find the wipes' this morning and used a cloth instead.... i do hope it's been got rid of hygienically

BookcaseFullofBooks · 26/10/2010 23:21

Cheeky Wipes reusables

mrsoliverramsay · 27/10/2010 09:53

I don't like Huggies, far too dry.

I did use Johnson's but decided to save some money and but Sainsbury's Little One's. I really like them.

I also think that companies deliberately make the wipes so that it is impossible to get one wipe out at a time. It means you have to buy more.

suiledonne · 27/10/2010 09:58

Lidl unfragranced. There are loads in the pack, very cheap and do the job nicely.

I only use wipes for nappy changes or hand wiping though. I've never used them on the dds' faces as DD1 has eczema.

SirBoobAlot · 27/10/2010 10:07

Also hate the Huggies ones, they are too soggy and fall apart in your hands / when you're taking them out of the packet.

My favourite wipes (wow, this is how cool I am now Grin) are the Pampers ones, but I only get them on offer. Generally I get the cheapest ones - the Asda own and Sainsbury's own are great.

katiepotatie · 27/10/2010 10:12

Asda 4 for £3 are the ones we get unless Pampers are an a really good offer, think I got 12 pack for £9 the other week.
Huggies apparently can remove nail polish!! Shock( according to a friend of mine)

jeee · 27/10/2010 10:14

Second whoever said Tesco value wipes - I also use them for housecleaning.

Awitch · 27/10/2010 10:16

pampers also come out three at a time, though.

lidl are 75p per pack, adn really good imo.

Rhian82 · 27/10/2010 10:26

Sainsbury's own brand. I've never seen how you can justify paying the price of the branded ones, they're extortionate!

worriedaunt · 27/10/2010 11:03

Do you have a home bargains shop nearby, I buy mine from there - they always stock a brand called Pudgies in a purple and white pack. They cost 59p a pack (72 wipes) and I find them excellent. Would really recommend.

sparkle1977 · 27/10/2010 11:08

I use Tesco own brand ones but the scented ones in the green packets. Find them brilliant.

LacksDaisies · 27/10/2010 11:13

Aldi all the way here. Thick, not too full of moisture like some own brands I have tried which leave you with a soggy mess at the bottom of the pack (Tesco's are horrible for this ime) and only 95p a pack. The scented ones are a bit too overly perfumed for my nose, but the unscented are just perfect and the only brand not to aggravate my DD's eczema.

As someone who always used to buy branded wipes for my 1st DC, the Aldi ones have come as a bit of a revelation.

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 27/10/2010 11:20

Asda 4 for £3 here as well never buy anything else now.

allthatjazz · 27/10/2010 11:27

jackson and reece do herbal wipes in packs of 72 for 1.29 in superdrug.
Huggies give my ds a rash and Pampers are of an odd texture to me.
Otherwise Sainsburys own are good and paraben free.

Grumpla · 27/10/2010 11:30

Johnsons are my favourite, I get my dad to buy them by the crate at Costco whenever they are on offer (worked out at about 70p a pack last time I think)

But we have run out of them now and using some Pampers ones DH picked up - I HATE the smell of those for some reason.

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 27/10/2010 11:41

johnsons, but again, they come out in 3s or 4s, and then you struggle to find the 'end' of the next one which has folded itself down flat!
The tesco value ones seemed really harsh to me - I used them up for cleaning and the irrtated my hands then!

notinmypocket · 27/10/2010 14:25

Not a fan of the huggies wipes either, they tear far too easily
Started with the pampers sensitive wipes, then started using the Johnson ones with the aloe vera balm and the Johnson unscented ones. Really like them

Fourleaf · 27/10/2010 17:07

Tesco (not value) own brand, unscented, or Asdas. Asdas the best IMO. Also do great own brand nappies and nappy bags. Sad I don't live near one anymore.
