Which baby wipes do you use? Huggies pure have appalling perforations and I declare them too wasteful and expensive to use!!!

I like the actual wipes as they're not full of lotion but you can't take out less than 3 or 4 at a time and the perforations are shocking.

Can anyone recommend a new brand - preferably without baby lotion in :)

Thanks

I use pampers sensitive wipes. The best ones I've found tbh. Always hated Huggies wipes!

Pampers sensitive are very good.

Tescos own unscented. Apart from the very good price like the fact have a plastic lid on the packet to stop them drying out

onepieceoflollipop · 26/10/2010 21:38

I actually like the Huggies. Don't like the texture/feel of Pampers. Johnsons are marginally better.

when the dds were in nappies I used washable wipes for wet nappies. (did use "normal" wipes for bad poos!)

The washable wipes were like little flannels.

louii · 26/10/2010 21:41

Asda own brand ones, 4 for £3 are my favourite.

CountessVonKnackerstein · 26/10/2010 21:43

Huggies orange coloured packs with the balm. When they are £1 each at Boots.
They are fabulous.

KarenHL · 26/10/2010 21:43

We found Tescos own unscented best. The better know (expensive) commercial brands like Pampers and Huggies gave DD the most awful rash where they had touched the skin.

If you like washable nappies, you might like to try what one of our friends has done. You can buy reusable wipes on the internet (fleece on one side, terry on the other). Dampen with water and t/tree, and seal in a plastic bag for use later. Use as needed and then wash with the nappies.

yousaidit · 26/10/2010 21:44

Supermarket own brand that says suitable for sensitive skin: all have been good, and you find there tend to be 80 or 72 in a pack rather than 60 or smaller amounts in premium brands [yousaidit displays astonishing tightness Grin ]

APixieInMyTea · 26/10/2010 21:59

I used to use sainsbury's little one's fragrance and paraben free. Best disposable wipes I've come across.

I now use re-usable wipes though and they are much better and easier and cheaper than disposables.

FrogmellaMoonbeam · 26/10/2010 22:19

I second the Asdas own 4 for £3 fragrance free ones.

lechatnoir · 26/10/2010 22:32

Another vote for sainsbury's Little One fragrance free - easy to use and the only ones that don't irritate my DS eczema.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 26/10/2010 22:33

Boots or Sainsbury's fragrance free are both really good.

Pampers and Huggies are too wet and also massively overpriced.

penona · 26/10/2010 22:38

Have also always hated huggies, nappies and wipes. I use Pampers Sensitive wipes for bums and Tesco sensitive wipes for hands/face (at the dinner table, out and about etc). But I only ever buy them when less than £1 a packet, so stock up when I find them cheap!!

gaelicsheep · 26/10/2010 22:38

Tescos unscented ones are the best. Branded ones are rubbish, just like branded nappies IMO.

FrameyMcFrame · 26/10/2010 22:44

The huggies pure are the only ones I like as they're thicker and not full of lotion. I actually use less wipes and if too many come out at once I just push em back into the packet.

FranknCock · 26/10/2010 22:47

pampers sensitive here, but tesco's own brand for the nappies

ghoulishglendawhingesagain · 26/10/2010 22:51

Huggies pure wipes have been utterly crap - the packet rips open, the wipes tear on the way out, no wonder they are always on offer.

I like pampers sensitive or johnsons for in the changing bag, use washable wipes with just water at home(and cloth nappies) as they are much better at getting poo offSmile

purpleflower123 · 26/10/2010 22:51

I did use tesco unscented but I've been converted to Tesco Value. 25p for 80! They are a little thinner but I just use 2, it still works out a lot cheaper. They are really gentle too.

madamimadam · 26/10/2010 22:55

We use Waitrose own brand unscented. Really, really fab. DS has eczema and they are they only ones that don't hurt him (apart from expensive 'nature' ones (Can't remember the name but ££). They're also paraben-free.

(The Pampers Sensitives I used at first brought our wooden floors up something lovely. No wonder DS hated them....)

Morrisons used to do really good ones with gel in them rather than lotion, they were fantastic. Tescos own, or Boots own here too, same for nappies also.

CountessVonKnackerstein · 26/10/2010 23:05

Pampers sensitive took all the polish off a leather sofa :(

TheAntiChristi · 26/10/2010 23:06

Are huggies pure ones the ones with aloe vera?

I LOVE THEM because DD2 never gets nappy rash now!

Valpollicella · 26/10/2010 23:07

Tesco MyBaby Ultra Soft Cloth Wipes

Mild, cheap and plentiful Grin
