hi

am SAHM of 16 month old. Due to a combination of him being more vulnerable to certain germs than most and me being more paranoid, we don't do toddler groups as I think of them as the most germy things around (short of hospital wards, maybe..) DH works long hours and barely sees us during the week. He has a much wanted long awaited only child and obviously the most important thing to me but to be honest I'm bored sometimes with only a one year old for company and I'm looking for ideas of things to do that might keep us both happy for longer. We go to the park a lot, and playgrounds, kick a ball around in the garden, go to the zoo, play with his toys, he watches tv a bit while I read, 'helps' with the washing etc.. We do have some one to one dates with other mums and toddlers but most of the SAHMs I know seem to spend their lives at groups or baby classes and I just think t that is a step too far for us at the moment (he spent some time in intensive care last year and I'm not keen to go back..)

any ideas? bit of a long shot really I know?
