We were abit late for school this morning, so all kids had gone in. My dd6 was fine and went in forgot to say goodbye to me, she's in yr2 but my ds5 refused to go in and kept walking out of the door if i wasn't behind him, in the end the duputy headmaster said, 'come on * and asked me what class he was in. he screamed his head off, and i had to walk off. I feel terrible, and he usually enjoys school but just doesn't wanna go in in the mornings unless my dd takes him with her or i do. What should i do??

He's only 5. I don't think there should be a problem with you taking him in until he is ready to go in alone. Surely the most important thing is that he goes into school willingly and can then settle to enjoy the day, rather than going in screaming and consequently being unsettled for a good part of the day?
