I'm new to washables after a second attempt and am now getting as carried away as i did when i was pregnant!

I'm using BG in the day and tots bots bamboozle/lollipop at night with ME wrap BUT saw some posts about wool being better for lo's skin at night and saw a really cute longie wool wrap on ebay here .

Does wool really work or is lo/grobag wet in morning (don't change for 12 hrs or so at mo)? Is it worth the faff of lanolising every 3-4 weeks? Can you machine wash on wool cycle or am i signing up for hand washing? Help please nappy experts...

Hi!

We've been using a wool wrap for a couple of months. It's second hand so has built up a nice layer of lanolin and I've only washed a patch of it when teething poo escaped. Lansinol fixed it and though it does need hand washing it's very infrequent. Ours hsn't smeleed yet but when it does I'll wash it properl, dry and lanolise.

If ds is very we it can wick a little dampness through but is better than a PUL cover in this respect imo

We loveit so much I'm looking for a pattern for some longsies to knit for over winter as we ec and can use these with home made terry pants!

HTH Smile

Ooh i love those brown longies, they're gorgeous! Does she ship to UK? I'm considering trying wool too but also not sure it's worth the faff!

I caved in and ordered them last night ziggyf - I know it'll be about a year before i have the time or skill to try and make my own! I'll let you know if they are as cute when they arrive, fingers crossed...
