It has been bout 3 weeks now we're potty training, but on monday was when we started dd with no nappies, and straight into knickers. today, i left dd in just knickers and a top, at times with no knickers at all, yet we had about 13 accidents, i lost count after a while with only 1 successful wee in the potty. my lounge is now an obstacle course of dodging the wet patches!

when she wet herself, id clean it up, tell her that it wasnt a problem and not to be upset over it, she just needs to do it in the potty. when she did a wee in the potty, i gave her loads of praise, stickers, hugs, and she loved it and said she was a big girl and seemed happy with what she had done, although unfortunately she had three more accidents after that

can you give me any more advice please? i came to close to just putting a nappy on her by 5pm

Put her on the potty every 1/2 an hour. Don't let her tell you she doesn#t need to go - insist that she does. Make sure she sits there for a while by reading a book with her or something!

The problem is that if you ask them they always say they don't need to go and then the wee themselves 2 mins later!

So best to set an alarm or timer for every 30 mins and take her to the loo
