DS2 (23 mo) is a grumpy sensitive child and his own bedroom was always 'his' space iyswim.

Whilst DS1 has been desperate for DS2 to move in with him forever (DS1 has always known that was the plan when we did the bedroom up for him with bunk beds) I really think that DS2 is going to hate it as DS1 is a bit 'in your face' and annoys DS2 a lot of the time (whilst at the same time they dote on each other and DS1 is the only one that can make DS2 giggle Hmm)

We need the space but I am feeling so sorry for DS2 Sad

Hi,only just saw this!

I put DSs in together about 3 weeks ago. DS2 is 2.5, DS1 is 4 - and like yours had been begging for his brother to share his room since we moved here a year ago!

It has gone really well. They are very sweet, talking to each other before they go to sleep. They dont seem to wake each other either - the 2nd night DS2 had a temperature and I had to wrestle him in a middle of a tantrum to get medicine in him and DS1 didnt stir!

I was fully expecting to be up and down all night - but it went really well, and I now have a redundant bedroom!

I'm sure your two will be fine too Grin

Just did this a couple of months ago with DD's 1&2, they've both done very well on it. DD1 sleeps through everything, and DD2 has started sleeping better, even going through the night on the odd occasion! (She's 18mo)Will be fine!

Thanks for the reassurance Smile

I don't really have any worries about them sleeping as they are both good sleepers - it is just DS1 is an early riser and there is no way he will be able to resist the temptation to wake DS2 up at 6am when he is in the same room, which will make DS2 tired and even more grumpy than usual (if that is at all possible Hmm) and so on and so on....

Hopefully the toy room which they will get out of this move will compensate for the fact that DS2 is probably going to hate it!!

i think it's really nice if children can share a room with their siblings even if they have a 5 bedroom house!

Thanks Southeastra I am hoping DS2 will thank me for it in years to come Wink
