Liners, where am I going wrong?

After An Incident involving the drain hole of my washing machine I am trying to minimise the amount of poo going into the drum.

So, am using flushable liners, but no matter how carefully I put them into the nappy they seem to scrunch up in the middle and only stop about a third of the poo getting on to the nappy.

My DD is 15 weeks old so isn't at the 'real human poo' stage yet!

Any tips?

I am using Bambinex liners that look like they come on the toilet roll, they are strong and thick and good for catching pre-weaned poo, (except an explosion that comes out the sides, then a little bit comes out)...they can even be washed and used again if its only wee.

They have been discontinued but I found some at Mini Milou, they have been replaced by Ultra Liners.

The Nappy Lady has an article about liners and also a demo on You Tube

Thanks for the link. The liners I'm using (can't remember the brand and have thrown packaging away) are pretty robust, they don't disintegrate when they get wet or anything, it's just that they don't stay put, and sort of clump up in the middle of the gusset. Maybe more inventive folding is required...

Remember not to fold the liner as it makes it a bit more tricky for liquid to pass though. I found the best way to do it was to wrap it round the booster being careful not to overlap underneath and they seemed to stay in place better. Personally i prefer fleece wipes and to rinse down the loo before i put in the washer.

Hi peachybums. Is your name a reflection of you or your babies? Grin
If I don't fold the liners they're too wide at the gusset, hmm, will cut with scissors.

I can't wrap it round the booster as I use BG, which are pocket nappies. Tricky.

Haha neither at the moment as DD2 is teething so hers is a bit red lol, its the name of my nappies i make :)

Do you not use the additional booster that comes with the bumgenius? I always use them on top with mine with the soaker inside so i can fit the liner in round the booster. I also ment fleece liners not wipes lol i dont put wipes in the nappy Confused
