Before DS was born, we thought we would only give him stuff at christmas and birthdays. Once he arrived, it became obvious that wouldn't work as very small children's needs change fast! He's 2 now though and things last longer. So. From what age does it work to make presents for special occasions only, and when does pocket money start? I do want to be able to treat him sometimes for no reason, but we don't want him to think he just gets things automatically...
