Tips needed for the last bit of potty training....

We've been at this potty training lark for just over 2 months now.

Now totally clean, the problem is my son seems to always start weeing in his pants. Thinks 'oh wrong place' stops, runs to his potty and then does the majority of it in his potty. Unfortunately a pants and trouser change is now required. He is in proper pants all the time during the day, appart from his 45 minute nap when he wears a pull up. Have tried stickers and chocolate buttons as rewards for making it to his potty and pants still being dry but not helping.

Any ideas?

I found confiscating toys worked quiet well - taking away when they had an accident and earning them back when using the toilet/potty. I wouldn't take the favourite straight away but would if he kept being lazy!

well ds1 was out of nappies about 18 months ago and still does this quite frequently...most of the time there is just a little damp patch on his pants, but occasionally a full change is needed. I have tried rewards etc but nothing seems to change it very much. I don't know to what extent its under his control - I wonder if sometimes it is there before he has really realised he needs to go, iyswim. So sorry, no answers. It has certainly improved with time but I must say I am ready for it to stop!

I was going to put my own message on here re a similar problem with my dd but you beat me to it! She finally seems to be getting the hang of it in month 3(!) but I keep discovering a damp patch in her pants (not usually enough to change her clothes) and I don't even know when she did it! Glad to see it's probably normal - not sure it counts as a 'whole' accident!
