DS2 has always been a heavy wetter, but just recently it's got ridiculous. Yesterday his nappies were leaking after just an hour. I use a mix of tots bots bamboozles and terry nappies. We've had to give up on pocket nappies as no matter what I stuffed them with they leaked.

I'm using dispos now which I hate and also give ds2 a slightly sore bum so only want that to be temporary whilst I catch up on the washing. I have tried boosting the nappies, but that seems to make little difference. It's not the wraps that are the problem, the nappies are absolutely saturated after an hour.

I wondered about hemp nappies, maybe buying some hemp material and making some hemp prefolds. Can anybody make any suggestions please.

i went through this with ds about this age and i was using the rainbow bamboo tots bots nappies too! i have found that the best ones now are tots bots size 3 bamboo nappies, motherease toddler nappies and ellas house bumhugger although i do need to add one booster to the bh. i too was loosing the will to live as i had so much washing from day and night and ds gets bad nappy rash with disposables too so you have my sympathy!!

good luck!

oh and night time i use a minki huggle nappy with 2 boosters and a minki fleece wrap.

I had the same problem at a slightly older age, and it was down to my little treasure downing a whole beaker of juice and doing a monumental wee shortly after resulting in sometimes hourly changes - it drove me nuts too!! My solution was to always use a 2 parter (which you are doing) and to boost a bamboo nappy with bamboo boosters, sometimes as many as 3, but they did the trick. It meant a fairly bulky nappy so he lived in stretchy joggers etc for a bit, but thankfully he's stopped downing his juice and is back on 3-4 hourly changes and only one booster. Same applies for his night-time nappy, a bamboo one with many bamboo boosters and a fleece wrap on top.

Glad you are looking for advice rather than giving up, as I've not yet had a reusable nappy problem that isn't easily resolved.
