sorry for typing - feeding ds2 aged 4 mths.
ds1 is 4 years.

ds2 was ill so ds1 was by necessity a bit palmed off on granny for a while.

things are improving but i still cannot cope alone with both of them for more than an hour.

my mum is round much of the time. dh does most of the domestic stuff.

why can't i cope like my friends?

I'm due next tuesday. Last one was on time but who knows?

My mum is booked to come as soon as the baby arrives because I have no idea how it is possible to feed a newborn and look after a toddler/ myself/ the house too. I'm just not a coper- I make it look really hard! But maybe I'll surprise myself this time...

TBH, I reckon a few months in where the sleepless nights have really had chance to build up and the offers of help are drying up will be hardest...I suppose that's about where you are?

yes.

i'd be completely fucked without my Mum!

It's fine when they are both awake and happy, but ds2 is hellish to settle and ds1 doesn't do 'quiet'...

If you get one of those sleeping babies I've heard of, it'll be fine. Smile

Ha! DS1 didn't sleep through until he was 22mo!

He sleeps well now thank god but I am psyched up for 2 years of disturbed sleep. When I say psyched up I mean what the fuck were we thinking?

But they all sleep eventually. Don't they?
