hi,
i'm going to have a little childs party for my ds who will b 3, there will also be a 2year old, two 4year olds and a 7year old there
so far the only party game idea i have come up with is pass the parcel. i think only 1 of them is big enough to play musical chairs, so now im stuck 4 ideas!
other than, that i will bake some biscuits in the morning for them all to decorate themselves (or with some help) in the afternoon.
please help and give me inspiration-it is much needed and will be much appreciated!

Seem to remember pass the parcel worked with prompting to keep it moving round.

Maybe Simon says?

Other than that, biscuit decorating sounds good.

Cut out paper crowns and let them put shiny stickers on.
We had some balls in a paddling pool inside and just a few toys to play with.
Treasure hunt may work with the 3+ ones - takes pictures of things round the house and put them on bits of paper as clues. One child has first clue e.g. a fireplace - they have to find it and the next clue is hidden there with another child's name on - next child finds the next clue - eventually they find the treasure - can be a sweetie each, or some stickers or something. They seem to enjoy the traipsing round the house, who can get there first type thing.

Birthday tea kills at least half an hour.

Hope it goes well.

musical bumps and musical statues always go down well at parties.

Musical Cushions is a good one too, and a bit safer than musical chairs for the little ones - just substitute the chairs for cushions, obviously, taking one away each time.

Hot Potato is a good one once they're all sitting in a circle for pass the parcel -it just works in the opposite way, ie you pass round a potato (which isnt really hot!) and the object is to not be the one left holding the potato when the music stops, as that means youre out. The one left who hasn't had the potato at the end is the winner.

And scavenger hunt too - draw pictures of simple items which you have hidden around the room/house, ie a teddy bear or a hat (or print them!) and then everyone has to try and find them. Whoever finds the most is the winner, or everyone who finds something can win a little prize.

Oranges and Lemons?
The Hokey-Cokey is good, though not strictly a game.
