OMG DS tongue just got coloured in black, what should I do?

Kids playing very quietly in other room and they just came out and said "Look at jnr Jungles tongue!"

Well, have washed it with water, can hardly wash with soap.

Standard textas, should I be overly concerned. Am quite worried.

DS2 did that at about 14 months - he was sucking a black marker that was left on the floor in the church creche.
He was fine, his tongue took a good week to back to its usual colour though.

Hsve you tried brushing his tongue with a toothbrush and toothpaste?

i think the action need to take depends on what they have use to do the colouring in.

Actually, thinking about it and given the surface of the tongue there could be a risk that, by scrubbing, you push dye into the crevices and then it'll stay for longer.
