Does anyone know where I can buy plimsoles that have non-marking soles AND a decent fastening that can be adjusted properly?

My dd has been told today that they are not allowed to wear there trainers for indoor PE and must have plimsoles or their parents will be called and they will not be allowed to do PE! My Dd doesn't have trainers by accident, plimsoles have never stayed on her feet and been comfortable for her to do sports in. I'm fairly annoyed about it, I don't want to have to waste money on shoes that don't fit properly. but have agreed to because my dd doesn't want me to go in and call the teachers bluff! (too embarassing apparently) but if I can get some that do fit, thats absolutely fine by me.

I used to buy my two plimsols from the shoe shop that sold proper branded children's shoes (e.g. Clarks and Start-rite). They were twice as expensive as cheap plimsols but the staff knew how to fit shoes and check that they were suitable.
