And unfortunately we have to go down one junction everyday to get DH to work and the boys to school.

Whenever we get in the car he asks if we are going on the motorway, if we say yes he cries and gets quite upset.

We went the back way today over the common (takes longer so cant do this everyday!) and he was fine!

Hmm, when I was a kid, going on the motorway always used to make me feel sick.

Does he say what bothers him about it?

Julezboo · 01/10/2010 10:28

No, we have tried asking him, he just says he doesnt want to go on it. Its a relatively new thing. Last few weeks or so.

Im finding it odd because my family lives 200+ miles away and we do the journey to visit them every other month or so!

Maybe he's heard about an accident on the motorway that's upset him?

I wonder if it would help if you went on the website where you can see the view from motorway cameras. Could prompt some talking about the issue? On the other hand, it might make it worse. Hmm

Do you have the traffic reports on the radio in the car? He might have heard something about a pile-up? Or perhaps you passed an ambulance or accident recently?
