I need to write a begging email......any ideas?

I need would like my course materials early

They come in 2 parts - 1 for 1st Nov & 1 some unspecified time in the future

I get a week off at Christmas & I could really forge ahead.....but if they arrive in Jan I can't. Plus I have uncertain health & it's tricky to plan.....knowing my luck I'll be ill at Christmas Hmm

So I'm cheating a bit - does this work?

"I received the confirmation email that I am booked onto this course; I would really appreciate the course materials arriving early as my health (wrt to my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) is so uncertain that any time that I am 'healthy' and able to work I would like to start on the course and get ahead so when I do (inevitably) get poorly I will not fall too far behind. I understand that it comes in sections but would hope if I manage to finish one early (which tbh is unlikely) I could request the next bit.

Don't worry if it's not possible as if I have been poorly before I have been given extra time by the tutor to complete the assignments but obviously that is less than ideal as it affects marking schedules."

or not?

Is it possible to speak to a tutor direct rather than send an email? Not sure if I am being hopelessly old fashioned but I would have thought direct contact is best, then they can ask you any relevant questions etc. ?

Katy - Is there anyone you can speak to before sending the email?

Or maybe see if you could get a doctor to write you a note, and if so - then mention in the letter that you can prove that this is the case, if they require it.

I would also leave out the "which is tbh unlikely" - or was that just for our benefit? better to have a positive approach to studies.. etc.

Maybe end it saying "I will understand if it is not possible, but by receiving these materials early, it would have a positive affect on me, as well as save me from having to contact tutors later during the course if I get ill and fall behind."

Good luck with it.

Well I asked (on the phone) before I enrolled as I know it's an issue & they said they couldn't tell me until I was confirmed on the course

I'm 'registered' as having a health problem with them (& thus far they haven't asked for any evidence)

I know what you are saying about being positive but I have needed extensions on both the courses I have done so far

Maybe I should ring up again?

Yes, I suggest you definately ring up again and ask if it is possible to go in and see someone 'face to face' to discuss it.

Face-to-face I will struggle with tbh (work)

But I'll give it a go on the phone
