My daughter's growth

I'm a bit worried about my daughter's growth. She is 2 years 7 months old and has gone from halfway between the 50th and 75th centile for her height up to 1 year, to the 9th centile now. She is still in 18-24 month tops (some of which are too big) and I have to turn the same size trousers up at least an inch or two. I am 5'5 and my husband is 5'8 so we aren't particularly small. Am I right to be worried?
Also, she sleeps for 12 hours at night and 3 hours during the day which is great for me but is that normal at her age?

God, it's so difficult isn't it? Children develop at their own rate, so it's not necessarily a concern. How is her appetite? Is she bright and developing well in other areas?

Will she be due a check up with the HV soon?(ours do one at 3, I think)

She seems fine otherwise, she has a good appetite and is quite active although she doesn't do much at the indoor soft play area we go to, she just wonders around the bottom playing with the balls.
I don't think she's due another check up till she starts school.

My DD2 is 2 years and 8 months and she doesn't do much at those soft play areas either.

It's a good sign if she's generally ok and you have no other concerns.

If you are worried tho, you could always make an appointment with your HV...

netpon, I have a son who sounds a bit similar. He's 23 months and he's grown very slowly since he turned 1. He's on the 2nd centile for height and he's only gained 2lbs since he turned 1. I saw a paediatrician 2 months ago about my son's asthma and I mentioned his growth. He asked us to go back 3 months later to see if he's grown. He's eating huge amounts of food at the moment so hopefully he's thinking about growing!

If you are concerned I would mention it to your hv or gp.
