LOL! I think it's very normal (even before I was a mum, I did things like that though )

When pregnant with DD 3 yrs ago, I was out Christmas shopping with my mother. I stopped in the street and declared 'Why are we here?'

I was holding bags of presents at the time. And gues what, it hasn't got any better, how do we manage to look after the sproglets?

noma · 04/09/2005 19:35

Thank goodness i thought it was only me with baby brain.

I made coffee by spooning it from the jar to my mug and then pouring boiling water into the jar. I've also made filter coffee without first putting coffee in the filter.

I'm starting back at work tomorrow after 11 months off and am absolutely dreading it. I have no brain at all and I can't even string a sentence together intelligently.

henshake · 04/09/2005 20:01

Littlefish - I'm so glad you've mentioned the string a sentence together, cause I also get that.

I'm back at work but have decided in a career change and start at evening school this year to set me on the path. I'm dreading it because I used to be like a sponge & as I mentioned previously I can't remember things.

Oh I so want to get the qualification and then it's onto Uni.

Are any of you suffering from aching and stiff joints at all?

Littlefish · 04/09/2005 20:07

Aching ankles every morning. Why do you think that is? Oh yes, because I'm still 3 stone overweight at least .

Memory? What's that? Sorry, I've forgotten...

Littlefish · 04/09/2005 20:10

Cod, do you think it's just because we've all got too much on our minds, and are being constantly distracted?

hermykne · 04/09/2005 20:53

i think our brains are working so hard thinking of everything and nothing - and by nothing i mean a little bit of day dreaming which just doesnt fit into the plan at all......

soup - that hilarious

you made coffee in the shower?? that's taking multi-tasking to extremes

WideWebWitch · 04/09/2005 22:53

I think any of us who know what day it is are doing extremely well.

PiccadillyCircus · 04/09/2005 22:56

Have lost the ability to use any words at all.

Frequently put things like shampoo into the fridge.

And I'm 38 weeks pregnant as well. It will only get worse .

SoupDragon · 04/09/2005 22:58

My theory (which doesn't hold up for adoptive parents) is that when building our baby during pregnancy, we can't manufacture braincells so have to donate them from our own brains.
