Anybody else waiting for OU materials to arrive?

Eeeek I love getting new course materials delivered!

Student home says mailed yesterday so I don't suppose I'll get them til monday at the earliest but I'm so impatient!

Am doing K217 "Adulth health, social care and well being", and K272 "Challenging ideas in mental health".

Hi, can i ask if anyone has registered by post and how long it took to get confirmation? I sent my form off 3 weeks ago and still havent heard anything yet.

I am just starting on S283 - Planetary Science and The Search for Life. Just finished S104, and am looking forward to getting stuck into it

I'm just about to start U116 Environment, Journeys through a changing world and will be doing S250 Science in context from january as well [eek]

Fairly confidant though as I did S104 last year which was incredibly intensive and i had a lot less time... this year dd and ds1 are both in school til 2pm daily so I have a nice stretch with just the baby ambling around in which to get study done.

Baggy, how did S104 go for you? I didn't think i'd enjoy it much as I never did well at chemistry and physics in school, biology was my only decent science subject, but it really facinated me in the end and I'm really looking forward to S250 now. I'm cross with myself though as i missed out on the distinction by 2% on my ECA, had more than enough on my OCA average so it was a bit gutting to know if i'd just spent another day or two re-reading the ECA i'd probably have gotten the distinction!

Oooh, this is like academic porn. I'm finishing the ECA for my last module (BS830 Making a Difference) for my masters which is great, but I want a big box of shiny new books too!

Summer - I really enjoyed S104. I have just missed distinction on the OCA I got 82%. I have worked out I got 86% for the end of course iCMA, and just submitted my ECA. I am currently swinging between thinking I have done ok on it, and the next minute worrying I have made a big mess of it lol. I have been short on time for the last few months, so a pass will make me very happy.

lol... I would have been happy with a pass until i realised how close i'd come to the distinction iyswim? Like dp said: 'It would have been less upsetting if you'd missed it by 20% than by 2%'

I know what you mean summer. I passed the OCA on TMA 4, and as I had lots of other stuff to do let the course take a little bit of a back seat as it doesn't count towards the actual classification of the degree. Now I think I should of done that tiny bit more effort with the assesments to be in with a shot of distinction. Oh well, just pleased to have completed it.

Amen to that... it's a shockingly intensive course isn't it?

I'm quite relieved that U116 seems quite tame in comparison, hoping to get most of it done before i start S250 in January to ease the pressure on myself a bit... luckily all the TMAs are posted up already so I should be able to plough ahead (although with everything going on here that may be wishful thinking)

I missed the delivery of my stuff yesterday so it is getting delivered to dh's work tomorrow.
I'm finishing K101 (exam next Wednesday eek...yet why am I on MN not revising???), and have submitted ECA's for Understanding Cancers'.
The delivery I missed was for Understanding Cardiovascular Diseases, really looking forward to that one.
I've just started Working for Health which I don't really get so far. Hoping I'll get into it more but just can't wait for this flippin exam to be over with.

I am waiting for my SK124 stuff to be sent and I am getting impatient already. I am really excited about this course and I just ant it to start now!
