Hi

We had same problem with DS - he was breast fed and absolutely refused milk out of anything else - we spent a fortune trying every variety of bottle, teat and cup to no success. Tried him with freshly expressed breast milk, cows milk and even formula but he wouldnt take any of it. When he was coming up to a year and I was planning giving up breast feeding I was really concerned he wouldnt get enough liquids.

We settled for making sure he ate loads of yogurt (and other calcium rich things) and fruit and had a breakthrough one day when he was delighted to drink out of SILs sports bottle. Went and bought him a kiddies sports bottle and it went from there. Now he'll drink out of anything.

Sorry not much help as your DS is so much younger but might give you hope for the future! Grin

Mind you, a colleague had the same problem and said that one night at around 9 months her DD refused to breast feed, wanted her milk from a cup and never wanted a breast feed again! So as we know - they are different :)

If he's six months then he can go straight to a sippy cup (a free-flow one not a sucky one). DD was still bfed at night until she was about 9 months - are you still feeding at night?
