Did you manage to do it? I've had major TMA troubles, too Sad Note to self: must remember this is supposed to be enjoyable!

KatyMac · 10/09/2010 09:48

No

I have 3 lines and 10 headings Hmm

Have you used the assessment calculator to see what sort of mark you need? And is it substitutable? (I assume you're coming to the end of the course - you're doing TMA07, yes?)

KatyMac · 10/09/2010 10:07

It's not marked but the feedback will help the ECA

OP posts:
KatyMac · 10/09/2010 10:10

Haven't seen the assessment calculator

OP posts:
KatyMac · 10/09/2010 11:46

I found it but I don't understand it
On this basis I already have 67% & I still have the 40% ECA to do (unless I only get 60% of 67% which is only 40% Sad)

This course has a continuous assessment component and an examinable component.

Your overall continuous assessment score (OCAS) is determined from your scores for the 7 TMAs weighted as follows: TMAs 01 & 02 - 16% each; TMAs 03, 04, 05 & 06 - 17% each, TMA 07 - 0%.

Your overall examinable component score (OES) is the score you achieve on the Project.

Substitution does not apply on this course.

To be sure of passing the course, you need to achieve at least 40 on OCAS and at least 40 on OES.

So, you've passed the OCAS already so don't get stressed and do what you can. Grin

I second what Sauv just said. Is TMA07 really 0%? Is it one of those dumb 'reflection' pieces?

SauvignonBlanche · 10/09/2010 12:19

I wouldn't bother! Wink

I'm supposed to be doing TMA05 which is my final TMA but am MNing instead. Blush

NiceCupOfTea · 10/09/2010 13:32

Sauv - what course are you doing? [being nosey emoticon]

SauvignonBlanche · 10/09/2010 14:13

K307

KatyMac · 10/09/2010 17:46

73 words done & 1927 to go

Can you not contact your tutor and get an extension? I did that with my last one, I only needed 24 hours but the relief was unbelievable when she approved it (the morning it was due to be submitted).

KatyMac · 10/09/2010 18:20

No - I've had 2 already (when DD was so ill) so that's my limit

OP posts:
KatyMac · 10/09/2010 18:33

181 - that's nearly 10%!!!

OP posts:
SauvignonBlanche · 10/09/2010 18:38

What will happen in you don't do it?

KatyMac · 10/09/2010 18:40

Nothing

but I won't get feedback which could help my TMA

OP posts:
KatyMac · 10/09/2010 18:40

Sorry my ECA not my TMA

OP posts:
KatyMac · 10/09/2010 18:43

SauvignonBlanche · 10/09/2010 18:46

Just do what you can, I had 2 extensions for a TMA due to a family member being terminally ill, when it got to the final deadline I just did what I could which was 900 words instead of 1750 and I got 40%.

If you can't think straight can you just do bullet points for your tutor to feed back on?

Good Luck! Grin
