ds is 15 months old. we leave ds1 to school between 8.45 and 9.00 and are usually back home for 9.00 -9.15. ds2 goes straight down for a sleep and often doesn't wake til 11.45 when we have to collect ds1 again. i would really like to start going back to my Bf group and another P&T group in the mornings but it would mean ds wouldn't get his sleep and would be really grumpy and whingey. it would be about 1pm before he could have a nap which he usually has an afternoon nap anyway. so would you just go to group anyway and let him be grumpy or would you just stick to his routine?

I'd let him be grumpy and go to the BF and P&T groups. You might find that he's so busy with other children and toys that he won't have time to be grumpy.

And at 15mos he's probably getting to the stage where he can drop his morning nap and have just the one a day.

It might be an idea perhaps to get him back for a slightly earlier lunch than usual so that he can eat before he passes out with exhaustion!

well, i took him to Bf group. he had slept for an hour beforehand. he was ok for a bit then he started tantrumming. he wont sleep in his buggy. i brought his snack with us so he had that but it only pacified him whilst he was eating it. the reason his lunch is so late is that by the time we get back from lifting ds1 at 12 it is usually about 20 past so he is only getting lunch about half past and then down for a nap at 1. i will try and work round it so he is eating before we go and not hungry, it's just the tired grumpyness that i don't know what to do with.
