recommended bedtime

what time should a nine year old go to bed? he has to be up at 7am for school btw.

I need quick answers as we are debating whether he can watch the footie right now.

When I was 9 I was in bed at 7.30.

I think at 9 I probably went to bed at 9pm ish.

I defintaely remember at 6 being able to stay up on a Sunday night to watch Bread, and that finished at 8pm. It was such a treat!!!
