What car seat is your 9 year old in?

My 9 year old dd is still in a high-backed booster - a Maxi Cosi one. For safety I thought she can stay in it till she outgrows it. Not exactly sure how tall she is, but less than 135cm.

But she says she is the only one still in a car seat and she feels a bit babyish. Is it really that unusual?

Yes, for 9.

Most kids of similar age (6, 7, 8) have those booster seat pad thingies.

My DC had the seat only booster seats till they hit 135cm - about the time they hit 8 or 9.

DD is 8.6, and we passed on her high backed booster a couple of months ago. DS is 10 and has been on a booster seat only for a couple of years now.

Dd is 9 and just over 135cm, so no longer on a booster at all. 7 year old DS1 is on a booster seat, and 4 year old DS2 in a high back booster.

No she's not. dd is also 9 and in a MC Rodi in dh's car and a Britax Evolva 123 in highback mode in mine. She only weighs 20kg though . Some of her friends go without.

dd is 9 and 140cm ish. She's in a booster seat without back and has been for about 2 or 3 years now. My 6 yr old is still in a high backed booster.

DD is 8, 146cm, no seat

My son is 8 and is in the high back booster. I dont no what to do about taking the back off. I know he feels babyish but i still think the seat belt is more secure on him with the back on

DD is 9.4 and in a booster. She started using that when she was about 6 I think. She is currently around 132cm tall. She is desperate to get out of it, I think that when she reaches 135 she can. Not sure though, we are in Belgium,
