I've ushered my dh out the house today with our 3dc and i have been doing my application.

I'm struggling a bit with my personal statement and I know you really have to sell yourself but how do you stop sounding like an arse with a big fat head??? Wink

i'm applying to do midwifery which is very very competative, i'm a qualified nurse but have been away from it for 6 yrs haveing the children. anyone else having a go at their personal statement and need support?

This:

could possibly help with your application, as they can look at your PS and advise.

I'd help if I could, but I'm doing English. Good luck :)

There is some guidance on them on the UCAS website - worth taking a look.

Don't worry about sounding an arse with a big fat head!!! If you've done or know or can do or you're used to doing or have always wanted to do anything tell em!!! Or someone else who may not be as good as you but isn't backward in coming forward will do and may just get there instead of you!!!

Now's not the time for being modest :)

Just go for it! I've applied for PGCE primary teaching. Now's the time to sell yourself :)
