Hello, wondering if anyone can offer any advice, I'm feeling pretty low right now :(

Our out of school club has been closed down. It was quite a busy club and so now all childminders in the area are now full. My two DC are going to a childminder, but she cannot take them one day each week as she is oversubscribed then. She has applied to ofsted for permission to have one extra place for an hour once a week but we have not heard back. They are 8 and 6. Does anyone know if they are likely to agree or do I need to make alternative arrangements?

I work part time but shifts, so the days change each week. I therefore have to pay for full time every week (or will if ofsted agree) so that the place is available. In the holidays this is more than I earn, but I don't want to give up work.

I'm just feeling like a pretty lousy mum ATM because it's like I'm only working to pay someone else to care for my children. I love my kids but I really like my job too. Money is really really tight in our house, should I leave and get a 'regular' pt job?
