Small child reacts to everything by crying.
Parents react to everything by raising voices in a firm way and going ON and ON.
Then there is more crying.
When the older children are back from school it continues with them and the other neighbours' children.
Do you think we over parent sometimes? I can hear myself in the exasperated mother who clearly needs to get it off her chest (trouble is, a 3 yr old isn't the best sounding board).
