Clips / chains on dummies?

DS is 9.5 months, he is having his dummy more than normal at the moment as he is teething and ratty. But he is also successfully managing to lob them out of the buggy without me noticing, and the cost is adding up on replacing them each time.

Mum has suggested I get something to lie them onto the buggy with. I know people who do use things for this, but I feel really weird about it. I'm terrified he will strangle himself on it somehow. Usually I'm very practical when it comes to safety WRT to DS; am I just being paranoid? Or did / do other people feel the same way?

Currently waiting for my new buggy to arrive, so he's facing away from me. I can't see me managing to get very far when walking along as I'm sure I'd be stopping to look to make sure he was okay ever few metres.

So opinions on dummy connectors? Thanks.

i saw some of these in mothercare the other day. They clip onto the babies clothes. I wouldn't have been concerned about the strangulation risk as the cord was only about 10 cm long. Would that work rather clipping them onto the buggy?

I haven't seen the ones that clip onto clothes. That idea doesn't worry me quite so much! Will have a look, thanks.
