how do you deal with siblings fighting

I have 2 DS's - 9 and 6 and although they are great friends - lately the fighting has become too much. I know boys fight but this is almost constant at the moment and I find it is really getting me down. I honestly can't wait until they are back at school on thursday - and I know how bad that sounds Sad.

Any ideas for help - or just to know I'm not alone in this..

I think all siblings fight, whether brothers or brothers and sisters. My two are playing nicely together and have been all morning, ages are DS10 and DD7 but I know it can change in a heartbeat and they will be screeching and moaning!

I make sure they have their own space, sometimes they just need to be apart - in different rooms, away from each other.

thanks sorrento

Jax - they share a room - but sometimes I do send one upstairs for a while to cool off - until it starts again.

Mine all have their own rooms but when we send them to their rooms because they need separating they want to be together.Hmm

Sorrento - exactly - mine do they same and then they turn on me for ruining their 'game'.

unfortunately the fighting is a natural part of growing up and defending one-self.

didn't you do it with your siblings?

As the others say - send them outside or to different rooms to cool off.

How far do you let it go then, melted, when they put each other in hospital?Hmm
