Do we need a cot mosquito net for 9mo in Portugal?

Going on hols to Portugal with 9 month old next week. Do you think i should be buying a mosquito net for the cot or is this an item we can get away without?

can you not use those plug in mosquito killers in the room and then you wouldnt need the net.

use the plug-in things - I live here and just stick them in every evening
