Sam Cameron's baby is tricky for me

Although I'm really pleased to hear about David and Sam's new baby it's an emotional time for me because everybody is going to be talking about babies and I have recently failed my last IVF attempt. I've been told the only way I can have a baby now is to find an egg donor. I wonder if I ever will :(

That is shit for both of you. Not sure what else I can say TBH.

Sorry Jaz and Riven (Riven I am still in a state of shock at the way you were spoken to on another thread last week, christ knows how you cope with people's attitudes).

Jaz I do hope you are able to find a donor.

I can understand a little bit. Some people seem to be able to notch 'em up without any trouble, and it appears to the sensitive as if they're flaunting their fertility. The constant parade of newly-pregnant women at the school gate used to feel like a punch in the stomach.

The Camerons have had their troubles, though, obviously, and it would be churlish not to feel pleased for them.

I reserve my curled lip for the obnoxiously pompous serial breeder woman who was bellowing outside the school that all her five dcs had been planned with exactly 19-month gaps which all research showed to be the optimum... blah blah blah

Jazcat I understand a little bit how you feel as I took 10 years to conceive DD and it seemed at the time the whole world was talking about babies. I will keep my fingers crossed you find an egg donor. In the meantime be kind to yourself and avoid reading/watching the news if it helps.

Riven I sometimes lurk on the special needs boards as my DD has a bit of a developmental delay and have read your posts. I don't think anyone would blame you for feeling jealous. I never look at aibu myself as I know it would send my blood pressure too high but from what I've picked up elsewhere you were treated appalingly. Please know that the vast majority of people do not think like that. You sound to me like you're doing a fantastic more than full time job giving your DD a lovely life.

It's really nice to hear so much support from people. I feel like I've been on my own for so long.

Jazcat I understand how you feel. We waited and waited for ICSI and during those four years basically everyone we knew and most of the world we didn't got pregnant, had a baby and then went and did it again. It's sooo hard with people taking you to one side to put on their best gentle voice to tell you (again) that they're pregnant.
We were blessed with minigrump after those four years. Hang on in there, it will happen. (big hug emoticon)

Jazcat I feel your pain. 4 failed icsi's for me and a pregnancy announment every other day this week. So sorry about the situation you are in x

my sister finds out tomorrow if her IVF with egg donor has been successful. last time it wasn't. don't give up hope Jazcat, donors aren't too hard to find, it is just expensive (well in my sister's case anyway). wishing you the best.

Keeping my fingers crossed for your sis Amidaiwish. Hope you're right and my waiting will soon be over.
