Just noticed that my nappy bucket is looking a bit grim - was going to give it a good wash with bleach but then wondered if that was a stupid idea...

how do you wash yours...?

Every time I empty the bucket, I soak it with boiling water and tea tree oil. Keeps it smelling fresh!

Everytime i do a wash i spray with ani-bac spray then clean, replace mesh bag and pop a wipe with tea tree oil in bottom.

I bought a washable Bumgenius nappy pail liner in error when I was looking for a mesh bag in Mothercare. It was £14 so I probably wouldn't have bought it if I'd realised at the time but it has been a godsend - I stick it in the wash with the nappies each time and it keeps the bucket relatively fresh (and easy to clean) for ages.

I wash out with hot water when I do each wash and put lavender oil in the water each time I refill it....

Will give it a good clean with an anti-bac spray and see if that does the trick - am also investing in a dedicated washing up brush for the bucket.... :)

I wash it with the shower using a squirt of cheap bubble bath and a washable wipe. I dry it then sprinkle with tea tree oil to keep it smelling fresh.

When I change my steriliser water (Milton in a biscuit box) I tip it in whatever bucket is empty (have two) and swill it out. Can you tell I am tight???

just a rinse under the shower hose and a quick scrub. :) seems to work fine, i have a scouring pad that blue in the bathroom that i use for only this job :)

WillbeanChariot is there a reason you wet pail? would be cheaper to dry pail xx
