Dads and holidays

Does anyone have a solution for me.

We have 2 kids - 10yr old boy and 4yr old girl.
We have just come back from a pleasant holiday in Devon. Kids had fun at Crealeys, on the beach, at the Donkey Sanctuary etc.

But My OH was seriously bored. And I have to say although it's nice to get away with the kids I'm at home with them all holidays anyway so no change for me there.

Where can we go next year that will entertain all of us? We don't want to just dump them with a holiday camp entertainer for the week. But watching them play all day isn't ideal either.

They are both fairly independent kids for their ages. And OH's ideal holiday would be a road trip across America - Route 66 on a Harley.

Any ideas??

So go on a road trip across america? We did 1500 mi down route 101 in a hired RV (rather bigger than a Harley - you could take two harleys?) with 3 DSs aged 1, 3 and 5. Best hol ever. This summer we met a mother youth hostelling around Scotland by public transport with three young children (hats off to her!). travel - explore and discover together!

Actually, it's (a) finding a way to make something you all want to do work, and
(b) enabling / encouraging OH to enjoy his time off work with the children - joining in their play.
