Sharing a room, few questions. I dont know what to do!

Right, I have two boys, 8yo and a 3yo. New baby due Early Feb (3yo turn 4 on feb 16th!)

At the moment they have their own room. DS1 has the larger room, DS2 has the smaller (boxroom)

I have no idea what I am having and wont know until the end of September.

Originally I was going to put the two boys together, with bunk beds, but then with the age group so different I would need to come up with a room decorated to both their taste (Was thinking dinosaurs or just plain blue with a few canvas prints of their fave characters. Then doing the small room up for the baby.

But, now I am thinking about it, would it make more sense for teh smallest boy to share with the baby if its a boy? Obviously if its a girl (highly doubt it!) then the two boys will have to share!)

Will they sleep, or will it be a complete nightmare? I plan on doing it before baby arrives to get them used to sharing. They do play together well most of the time.

I dont know what to do, either way I need to swap rooms around, even if we leave it until after baby is born because 3yo is LOUD so I want to put us at the back of the house with baby in our room and the two boys at the front!

I'd put the 8 and 3 yo together that way you can get them used to it before baby arrives. Bunkbeds and choosing new decoration for their shared room will be fun for them and you won't have to worry about the baby keeping DS2 awake.

My friend has just had #3 (a girl) and her older children, 1 boy and 1 girl, share a room and have done since she found out she was pg. The room has two sections, one with her son's chosen theme and the other with her daughter's.

If it helps, my 2 boys will eventually share a room even if we don't have another baby. It'll do them good!
