Do i really need to get a 2 seater buggy?

Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice?

I have one toddler (27 months) and am due with no.2 in a months time. Do i really need to buy something like a Phil & Ted's or could i make do with the usual buggy and attach a board for toddler to use?

I like to walk if possible, toddler is wanting to walk more and more, all be it slowly! A buggy board could help but they would not be resting their legs i guess when they've had enough of walking! I'm confused!

What did you others do?

Thanks for all your advice!

As much as i like the idea of sticking with my Bugaboo and using a sling, i'm just not sure this is a practical option.

With the autumn/winter coming up i don't fancy the walks in the rain either, trying to hurry up a toddler as some have mentioned!

I prefer to walk into town as parking is a nigthmare, plus i like the fresh air and excersise. It is a good 20 mins brisk walk into town, then there's the errands when there and the walk home so it's a long time to ask a toddler to be on their feet and behave themselves! We also live on a busy road so i worry about the danger of traffic.

I think i've answered my own question then, purchase a second hand one and keep the Bugaboo. That way i can use the P&T's now, and go back to the Bugaboo when DD1 is happy walking all the time.

I think you've made the right decision. There's 19 months between my two and I love my Phil and Ted's Classic.
DC1 is 3.5 yrs now and DC2 is 2. We walk everywhere and DC1 loves to hop in the buggy and we can get from A-B in no time.
I tried the sling/single buggy combo and found it a nightmare TBH.
