Had to tell someone... found a very cute big sister t-shirt for DD1 in Next, then pmsl when I saw it was also available from 3-6 months!

I mean, I know some people like a small age gap but I think that's pushing it... Grin

Oh dear... I think there were similar T-Shirts in the last sale. Bet they wonder why they only sell in the older sizes! They also have the big brother equivalent!

zandy · 18/08/2010 14:07

Haha, that's funny.

Thinking about it, there may be a small market in twins.

Or a guy who has got 2 woman pregnant at the same time and the t-shirt is worn by the little girl born 2 weeks before her little brother/sister. Grin

Or a baby which was born premature, to small arents, so still fits into 3-6 month clothes at 9 months (and the mum got regnant again straight away)

Actually thinking about it DS still had some 3-6 month t shirts which fitted at 9 months and he was full term (just small!)

small Parents

DH says twins! First born wears 'big sister', second born wears 'little sister' Hmm
He's really chuffed with himself -actually used the word 'genius'!

siblingrivalry · 18/08/2010 20:11

maybe some people put their dc in it when the mum is pregnant again before the 2nd one is even born?!

MrsRhettButler · 18/08/2010 22:37

the mind boggles........... i wonder if they sold any? i would just love to know who bought them and for what reason Grin

4andnotout · 18/08/2010 22:39

What if they are twins?

cupofcoffee · 19/08/2010 09:01

Strange. Maybe for twins but cannot imagine that the market for this would be worth their while surely? Could be that it is meant as some sort of humour I suppose, some sort of metaphorical 'big sister' - we have joked that our baby dd will be the 'boss' of the house and will not take any stick from her older brothers. More likely someone has not thought it through though. Think I will email and ask as am very nosey curious now and see if they respond.

MerryMarigold · 19/08/2010 09:09

Ha ha ha. This is so funny.

I have twins and I would NEVER put 'Big sister' on the elder (by a couple of minutes). I think many twin parents would agree, so it will be a VERY small market indeed...think these T shirts will be ending up in the sale - unless people just look at the picture/ colour and not the words!

OneTwoBuckleMyShoe · 19/08/2010 09:16

DD is 11 months (not prem) and still fits into 3-6 months so not totally bizzare!

Yeah I guess its the sizing thing. My DD is 2 and still wears mostly 9-12 or 12-18mth clothes in next. She does still wear a 6-9mth skirt too! Can you tell shes skinny!

But cant be a huge market!
