I use terrie squares at home with motherease wraps. I love my terries. But ...............

DS will start at chilminders in a few weeks 2 days a week. Childminder is a husband wife duo and assistant so they have 12 preschoolers everyday in different stages of nappies potty training etc. Childminder used terries on her kids so is familar with the system etc but has asked if DS will come in his real nappies.
I will discuss further with her but would like an alternative option for her if she feels folding terries when she has 2/3 other little ones to change too will be a bit time consuming.
I don't like pocket nappie I have one itti bit snap in, which i like. Is there anything else i should look at? It is an opportunity to get some lovely nappies too. Shock

You could always ask her if she's happy with the terries, would she prefer you to send them pre-folded inside a wrap? Then all she has to do is open out the wrap and the nappy will be all there ready. This was what I used to do for FIL and he managed fine (well apart from one day I sent her with a sample shaped pretty nappy and he thought it went on without a wrap, daughter kept saying on then way home 'Wet mummmy, wet' and I kept saying 'yes dear it is raining hard isn't it?' only to find a soggy car seat when we got home because he's not used a wrap.

Itti bittis aint hard really so they maybe ok with those? I always pack DD2 with bumgenius v3 as they are like disposables to put on but they are a pocket :s. Mybe an All in one may suit better so they dont forget the wrap?

I used real nappies, but I must admit I put her in disposables for the childminder. There were three usually of the same age, plus a baby and I just thought be better to make her life simper.

I'll butt out now.

She is not likely to forget a wrap or anything as she used real nappies recently on her children.
I will speak to her and see what she says. That is my initial thought Downy, but could really do withoout the weekly expense. I can get a cashback from the council for the real nappies.
Are there any other nappies similar to the itti snap in which are worth a look?

Are you coming to mine??

I think she will be fine - have a chat & see what she thinks, if she has used them before she knows what is involved

how about Bambinex bamboo nappies with applix? They are so simple to use and very absorbent. I wouldn't use a Bambinex wrap though as I found the one I had cut into ds4's legs.

I find the itti bitti very small fitting, tbh. I love mine as they are so cute but I wish they came in an XL and ds4 objects to them for some reason and asks me to put him in a pocket nappy. ( God, he really needs to be potty trained, doesn't he!)

I reckons if she used cloth herself she probs wont mind at all using terrys. I used to send my ds to nursery in any kind of pocket/ one piece - mainly BG and ittis though if there was to be a next time id be tempted by the BG Flips.

ooh flips hadn't thought of them.

It is more the time it takes to fold the terry at the time of changing that i was thinking of when there is a queue of little uns needing changed.
So something that was already made up would be easier, like an itti or a pocket

Thanks for the tips anyone used gro baby nappies?

well if you went flips i suppose you could use the wraps for terrys too.
