DS after 2 DD's - Clueless !!!

Hi,

We just found out this morning that DC3 will be a boy- we were full sure it was going to be a girl and after the initial "are you sure", are so excited and delighted ;-))

The thing is I am clueless about boys in general- I have 3 sisters and two daughters and went to all girl school from 4-18 so I have lived a very female centric life.

Aside from the obvious "every child is different" are baby boys much different to girls and if anyone else was in the same boat I would love to hear your experiences.

Thanks !

Congratulations

i remember finding out i was having a boy after 2 girls and it was the best feeling in the world

I have to say that my ds is altogether different. he is relaxed and easy going and never stresses about anything and he seems to adjust to change where as my girls love routine

Enjoy because he will be a joy

My ds is 16months old, also have 2 older dd's. Not much difference really, as you say each baby/child is different anyway. My ds has never even peed on me which always gets banned around as a probelm when changing boys, got more peed/pooed on by the dd's!

All mine play with the same toys, ds hasn't been bought any specific 'boys toys' yet, but then dd 1 is very tomboyish so we have a fair quota of cars etc, ds loves the toy pram and taking his baby for a walk.

The only shock for me has been how much he janks at his willy! But having spoken to friends with ds we know this is standard practice and it won't get pulled off!!

HTH

my ds loves tugging on his willy he even puts his hand down his nappy in his sleep to have a fiddle
