2 year old will only eat with his fingers

My 2 year old has suddenly started to refuse to feed himself or take any food from a spoon and will only eat if he can pick the food with his fingers. It's driving me crazy - help please?

I'd just leave it for now as the more he sees it stressting you out the more he will dig his heels in. I actively encourage my toddler to eat with his fingers as there is less mess and he eats better that way. There will be plenty of time to teach him to use cutlery when they are a bit older and more willing. Have you tried just ignoring it and heaping praise on him when he does use cutlery?

Go with the flow. DD was like this and then overnight again she went back to cutlery and is really good with it. It's all phases at this age.

And just remember, he's only 2. Still very much babies, so much expectation on them.
