...you'd had absolutely no success at potty training after 2 days.

ds is 2 yrs 4 months and i'm thinking we should leave it and try again in a few months.

or should I persevere and give it one more day???

Yes, I would. If he's not ready then it's not worth keep struggling on with. He's still ever so young, an awful lot of children are closer to 3 than to 2 before they're dry.

Yes, give up for now. Our ds1 was over 3 when we started (tried a couple of times before that but it was no-go).

Just thought I'd update this.

I did the unthinkable and went against everyone's advice and decided to give it one more day.

Guess what?! It clicked!! He then went for over a week without a wee-wee accident and is now pretty much there with no2s too.

We're very very surprised, because I really thought this would be a first attempt.

After wearing totsbots, he now has a TINY bottom and lot of his clothes fall down!! But he's very pleased with himself!

Congratulations tassis! (or tassis' ds )

Only just seen this but I would have advised to perserve a bit longer (honest!!) only as my dd 'clicked' on day 3 after an awful 2 days.
