Trivial question -nursery changes potty training/packed lunches?

Hi, DD1 is at nursery at moment and in the baby room where they will heat up food that you provide. She is soon going up to the toddler room where they don't heat up food and I have no idea what to give her for her lunch!!

She is so fussy with sandwiches and only eats the fillings. She loves pasta but won't eat any of the cold ones I've made. The same goes with veg, eats warm cooked but not cold (raw or cooked).

Any ideas??

Also, we are slowly potty training her just now, pants for the house and pull ups for nursery as they won't potty train in the baby room. Once she goes to toddler room they take them to the toilet at certain times during the day and won't have them in just pants until they are trained. So I'm concerned this will have a knock on effect.

Again any advice?

don't worry too much. My DS went to nursery - He basically went onto 'school dinners' at the toddler stage- don't your nursery do this or does it have to be packed lunch?
As for the potty training it was the best thing that ever happened. It was a disaster at home- wet sofa/carpet etc constantly. Nursery keyworker suggested they try it (along with 6/7 others) and he was dry & clean from the off. I packed 6 pairs of pants/socks/trousers to send in the first day and brought them all home dry. Never had even 1 accident. He was 2.11 at the time. I think the group setting really helped with this. You sound like a lovely mum- try and not stress about the small things. What seems a huge deal now will easily be sorted.

No, from the toddler room up we provide all lunches and snacks and nothing will be cooked. So it has to be ready to eat packed lunches, i'm trying with some just now and also sending in wee pots of food (soup etc) so I know she's at least eating something.

I know she'll eat her snacks but it's the lunch I'm worried about as the toddler room are more regimented with their eating times whereas baby room would give her snacks/milk when she asks.

I'll go with the flow for the potty training for now the. she's only turning 2 but her cousin had his potty and she showed an interest so thought we'd get one for the house as I'm on mat leave just now so seemed like a good time. She has been doing great, poo's always in the potty, but pee's are sometimes already midway when she realises. I find when she has the pull ups on she doesn't bother though as she knows she can have accidents so I was hoping that it would be pants as soon as she got to the bigger room. She seems to do better. I'll just see how it goes then.

Thanks for the advice!
