hi my dd is 4.5 due to start school in sept, and ds is 20 months, dd is from my previous marriage so spends quite a bit of time with her dad and his new family.
Ever since ds has been born dd has found it really hard to accecpt him and i think she feels shoved out and bitter that she has to share me with him. now ds is walking, and wants to play with her and copy her all the time its even worse, she smacks him and pushes him over and last night she pushed him down the back of her bed and he really bumped his head, he was really crying and she just say there on the floor saying she hadn't seen what had happened, she also tells tails on him saying he is biting her etc and i can see he is no where near her,

he does get her back sometimes, smacking and biting but i dont blame him at times as she is really awful to him, screaming in his face, snatching everything off him so he falls over, she says its because he is a boy not a girl!
I have been trying to do things on my own with dd to give her some special time just us two but i feel like im rewarding her for being horrible,

Any tips or advice, and will it ease up a bit when she starts school? we were thinking of trying for a 3rd but this is seriously putting us both off or maybe it would balance things out a bit more so the two young ones would play together and leave her alone a bit more??
