What age did you let your DCs go downstairs without you?

I am thinking of ones who don't have an older sibling to supervise them.

DS is such an early riser, I'm wondering when it will be safe for him to go downstairs on his own.

My oldest is 3, she's not ready yet. Wants someone to talk at to. Can put tv on but we have a stairgate in kitchen so she wouldn't be able to get a drink or anything, and if she could get in the kitchen would have biscuits/sweets for breakfast.

I remember I used to get up on my own and get own breakfast/watch Timmy Mallett from about 6 ish though.
