Ok, heres the background. We have 3 bedrooms. 1 for parents, 1 for the 2 boys and 1 for dd, who will eventually share with baby dd. Only thing is, dd wants to sleep with the boys in their room which really annoys them and noone ends up sleeping until very late. But, when I put her into her own bed (in her room which is smaller), she cries and whines for aaaages. She cries how her room is so ugly, her bed is ugly, she prefers metal, not wooden bunkbed, like the boys.
Am I being really cruel by making her sleep in her own bed?
(thanks for reading this)

Oh, I forgot to mention, she always cries how noone loves her etc.. is this normal?
Because we obviously do love her, but I think when she has to sleep on her own she interprets that as not loving her.

I bet she doesn't interpret it as you not loving her, but she knows that if she says that, you might give in?

You are not being cruel. Try watching some episodes of Supernanny on the Channel 4 website (everything I know about parenting comes from there!) about getting children to sleep in their own beds. Have a good bedtime routine, put her to bed in her own bed, and be consistent.
