Should my 22mnth old still be going to bed at 6pm?

My 22mnth old has been going to bed at 6pm since she was born, happy sleeper, wakes at 7pm most mornings, sometimes later.

I thought we should push her back to 6.30/7pm now as she's coming up to 2yrs, but my DH is resisting saying why change something which is not broken.

She sleeps in the day, bewteen 1 - 2 hours, but has started to skip these once or twice a week.

What would you do?

I'm with your husband. It's not broken, don't fix it.

count your blessings
Why do you want her to stay up later? Do yu / DH not see as much of her as you'd have liked?

My 4.5 year old went to bed at 6.15 and often does. He's happy with that and I am too.

I would leave her bedtime as it is as it's clearly working well.

i would leave it unless as spb said you dont see much of her, working etc
my 2 year old sometimes goes to bed @ 6.30, its supposed to be 7 but if he sometimes puts himself in bed earlier because he wants to read books so i just let him. i know other toddlers going @ 6pm so i dont think it is too weird or anything
if she still sleeps to 7am it sounds like she does need the sleep

OK, I think i will take your advice, dh wants to leave it and I think I may be upsetting something which is working fine...

thanks for help girls..

Oh how I wish either of mine would go to bed at 6pm 9mth old currently still feeding to sleep and 3 yr old making all sorts of racket downstairs (where DH is trying to put him to bed). And as for getting up at 7am "sometimes later" ...That's the stuff dreams are made of!

Count your lucky stars, and make the most of it
