someone was telling me today that their friend got some free childcare while she was studying.

She said this woman got it via the job centre and her DD got 2 free mornings a week!

I could use some of that! I'm doing an OU degree, fully funded because of low income.

any ideas? I've never seen any reference to it on OU stuff, is there some way I could get some childcare? I am so behind with my work

Try contacting the local job centre? there may be more on offer than you realise Even if there isnt they might suggest other agencies that can help.

I was just filling out a student finance form and there was a section on a childcare grant through the LEA< I looked into it and it said up to 85% of childcare can be paid if you are on a low income (under £10k) but I am not sure what the other criteria are here
