Well he didn't say anything. He just sort of glanced over to the Ann Summers number I had fetched with me and then said "right then I'm having a bath"

Not what I had in mind for my wedding night I have to say.

I was overweight for my wedding, still am overweight. Once I have had db then I plan on losing weight. However being bigger for my wedding didnt stop me enjoying it. Was a fab day and pics all look great so wouldnt change it for anything even if it was to be magically changed to size 10..lol

Awwww...all the pics are so lovely

I was a size 10. Marriage has fattened me up and I'm now somewhere between a 14-16. Getting nearer the 16 IMHO (and that was before getting PG)

Lovely pictures! Anchovies, you look exceptionally pretty - size 20? You are having a laugh. Wonderful cleavage though.

I was a size 16, but tbh as I was 7 mths pg it didn't really notice........

At least I can still say I fit into my wedding dress, I just shouldn't mention that it's 2 sizes too small and only fits 'cos it was a maternity evening dress!

I slimmed down to a size 12 before I started planning my wedding, only then to fall pregnant, I think the new slimline version made him gird his loins! By the time the wedding arrived I was five months pregnant and in a size 20 dress, but with a clever choice of dress I looked beautiful.

Yes, and no, I don't regret it at all. I was a size 20, though dress had to be taken in to about an 18 as I lost half a stone in the week before! I'm around the same size now. I have been slimmer since, and that's when I thought it'd have been nice to be slimmer on my wedding day, but no real regrets - honestly.

I was - about an 18/20 and am now - 2 babies later - slimmer than I was then.... still losing weight slowly BUT my wedding dress is too big for me now ( except for the boobs due to breastfeeding)

Day was fab and everyone said I looked great... so what does it matter.

was 3 months pregnant in a size 12 dress and now I can't even zip it up. 3 kids fatter and 9 years later oops. I feel like my mum, she kept a pair of size 10 jeans in her wardrobe for years and always said "One day I'll get back into those" Nothing changes.

Anchovies, what gorgeous photos! You looked fab!
I wore a size 14 two piece (squeeze you in corset top!!) and I was bang on the right weight for me, I worked out and watched what I ate for a couple of months beforehand...it was more that I was bothered about my arms as they are horrible and my dress was strapless! I got lots of compliments and felt brilliant.......no hope of ever getting into it again!
I made the mistake of giving the dress to a friend's new bride to wear for their big day and had to watch a size 8 (she'd obviously had it altered!) 19 year old beautiful Brazilian wear MY dress at the same venue, when I was 4 stone over weight having just had my DS!!!! Still, it spurred me on to lose the weight! And I felt a lot better about it than I thought I would (my DH said I looked better as my chest was bigger!! Bless!)

My wedding dress was size 12. Haven't worn a size 12 for 9 years. I am too young for middle aged spread.

What difference does it make if you get married when you're overweight???? I was 14/16 when I got married, still am. As long as your dress fits you properly and you feel good then isn't it about marrying the man you love more than how thin you'll be in your photos!????

I think it would be very sad to look back at your wedding day with regrets coz you were not as thin as you'd have liked!

A wedding is about getting married..... which is something I feel people forget when they are caught up in the whirlwind of dress fittings and seating plans!

Just seen Meggymoos and Hula's photos too...you looked amazing!
I would have loved to be a size 10 on my wedding day, but as I haven't bought that size since I was 16, it wasn't going to happen! I felt fantasic and my DH thought so too........

I got the dress about 3 months before the wedding, size 8 but by the time of the wedding I have put on some weight and spent the night trying to keep my tummy flat . Well, I should be proud and not blushing as now I'm size 16!

I would say, forget about the size what's important is that the dress suits you. DH has a cousin who was a couple of sizes bigger than me and she look sooo thin in her wedding because she found the perfect dress for her shape.

I believe www.cmb.co.uk has a bridal service to help you find the type and color of dress that suits you and even would do your make up for you and choose a hair style for you.

anchovies, those pics are gorgeous, I love the b&w ones with your veil flowing. Very beautiful indeed .

I was also at my heaviest when I got married, although not technically overweight. I wore a boned corset/basque thingy underneath and had a dress with a very fitted 'sculpted' bodice, which I think helped to hold me in !

FWIW, I don't think it matters what size a bride is on her wedding day, so long as she is happy and confident, she will always look fabulous.

first time I was an 8, second I was 3 stone heavier, but still thought that I looked good.

My flashy red dress demanded heaving bosoms!

meggymoo, just spotted your link too. Gorgeous ! The pic of you and DH in the car where DH is broodily smiling and you look like you want to belt him made me PMSL ! Was that just an unfortunate moment on the photographers part ?! BTW, you have very similar wedding and engagement rings to me
