Won a book a few days ago but didn't notice when bidding that the person accepted only cheques. As a result am still waiting for this person to send me their address.

Have I screwed up somewhere? DH was dealing with it for me as he is the addict but always chooses Paypal, trust me to do it wrong! Should I have automatically been sent an address to send the cheque?

Am worried now as it is a book I was wanting, can't do anything right - don't suppose anyone on here goes by the name of Topcat3010, they have 100% feedback?

You should get an invoice mailed to you and that will contain the address.

btw did you see my info re:TAMBA?

TwinSetAndPearls · 14/08/2005 19:27

Have they not sent you an invoice, that should ahve their address on.

vickiyumyum · 14/08/2005 19:29

they normally send you an invoice when you complete checkout. if not email them through contact seller and ask for address.

hiya, i had that sometimes people keep their address, and send it out with buyers request.
i have won tom jerry dvd and seller is in HK, i have to pay by hsbc bank. that means i have to go down town on monday and pay.
i would just ask for address.
hope you will hear from your seller.
cheers

I have emailed them through contact seller a few times to no avail so will just hope they respond soon!

they may be returning from holiday.

diva4mgl · 14/08/2005 20:17

have you tried to get contact number? i normally do, a month ago i have sold pair of shoes and buyer paid by paypal, so i sent it out next day by recorded delivery. and i received them back after two weeks, with surprise i emailed couple times no response. at the end i asked for contact number from ebay and called her. the lady said shes been on holiday somewhere in channel island i guess. and apologized not letting me know, and asked me to post again when she is back. so i guess buyer or seller who ever you have to keep good contact.
so i would find contact number and will give call, just in case

Even when the seller only accepts a cheque, you can should still be able to get their address. If you go to pay now, select cheque and follow the instructions, this should give you an invoice and an address to send the cheque to.

TwoIfBySea · 14/08/2005 21:13

On the invoice is the persons name, town and county but no street name or house number and I don't want to just send a cheque hoping it gets there.

So frustrating!

I think that if you complete checkout choosing the "pay by cheque" option, you will then be given the address automatically. You tried that? (I could be wrong!)

sorry.. just re-read this with my glasses on. Realised there's an echo in here
