Cocktail Bars in London

DH is 40 in July so I am taking him to Fifteen London, Westland Place, N1 7LP. As he is partial to the odd cocktail or two I would like to take him somewhere nearby the restaurant before we have our meal. Does anyone know of any good cocktail bars in this area?

How about Dollar Grills and Martinis at Exmouth Market? Fab fab fab, although think you will need to cab to restaurant from there. Otherwise there the Drunken Monkey if you want more local and like busy w your watermelon martini.

I second Dollar Grills. Great cocktail list, and they have 2-4-1 on loads of them.

If you want the 'energy' of Soho, Zebrano, just off Carnaby St) is great fun. Very trendy (or at least it was a while ago...)

A great cuban style bar is Floridita. Its a basement bar but quite glam.

If you want to escape and be all grown up, go to my favourite: The Polo Bar at the Westbury hotel. It's along Conduit street. It's high art deco and all the barmen know their business.
